Transparency Action Plan (TAP) Summit
The Cleveland Coalition is excited to announce a new project on Transparency, culminating in the Transparency Action Plan (TAP) Summit. We will be convening government officials, business leaders, journalists, computer science specialists, and community activists to participate in formulating a plan to establish best practices in our community, with the belief that such processes and mechanisms are bedrocks of efficient government and a healthy relationship between government and the public. It is our goal to help make Cuyahoga County a national model for county government transparency policies and practices.
Details on the summit are available on the TAP Summit website at TAPSummit.org.
Crooked River Gaming
Our purpose behind the “Crooked River Gaming” event is to help make Cleveland’s new casino a vibrant element of the community. A well-planned casino could have a transformative impact on the city. The Coalition will host discussions and workshops on how this major project can best integrate itself within the existing city fabric. This discussion is not about whether or not casinos should exist. This discussion is about how we can make the casino successful not only for its owner and operator but also for the city of Cleveland.
